Ticket and event terms
These terms apply to ticket purchases for Copenhagen Oktoberfest and to visits to the event. Mandatory Danish consumer law always takes precedence over these terms.
Last updated: 26 August 2026
1. The Organiser and contact details
The agreement is entered into with Københavns Oktoberfest ApS, Danish company registration number 32063535 (the “Organiser”). Registered address: Håndværkervej 24, 6270 Tønder, Denmark. Email: info@copenhagen-oktoberfest.dk. Telephone: +45 92 90 94 01.
Where an expressly identified ticket agent sells the ticket, that agent provides a separate service and may apply its own terms to payment, delivery and separately disclosed booking fees. The Organiser is responsible for the agent’s acts only where required by the agreement or mandatory law.
2. Agreement, ticket and purchase confirmation
A binding agreement is formed when the purchase has been approved and a purchase confirmation has been sent to the email address supplied by the purchaser. The purchaser is responsible for checking that the contact details, event, date, time, ticket category and quantity are correct, and must contact the Organiser without undue delay if anything is incorrect.
Each QR code or equivalent ticket code is unique and may only be used once. The first valid scan takes precedence. Duplicate tickets do not entitle the holder to additional admission. If a ticket is lost or unavailable, the purchaser must contact the ticket provider or the Organiser; a replacement ticket can only be issued if the purchase and the ticket’s continuing validity can be verified.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are stated in Danish kroner and include applicable value added tax. Mandatory fees must be shown before the purchase is completed. Payment is processed in accordance with the payment or ticket provider identified at checkout.
The Organiser may correct obvious typographical, pricing and system errors before an agreement is entered into. An agreement already entered into will not be changed unilaterally because of a price change. In the event of an obvious error that the purchaser realised or reasonably should have realised, the Organiser will contact the purchaser to arrange a correction or refund.
4. No right of withdrawal or voluntary cancellation
The ticket concerns a leisure activity on a specific date or during a specified period and is therefore exempt from the right of withdrawal under section 18(2)(12) of the Danish Consumer Contracts Act. The purchase is final and cannot be cancelled, exchanged or refunded because of changed plans, illness, delay, missed transport, an incorrect order, a missing companion or another circumstance attributable to the purchaser or guest, unless separate cancellation protection or the ticket description expressly states otherwise.
An unused ticket does not itself create a right to a refund. Tickets may be resold only in accordance with Danish law and never above the original purchase price including fees. The Organiser may reject a ticket that is invalid, copied, charged back, cancelled or acquired unlawfully.
5. Tables, seating and arrival
Only a ticket or package that expressly includes seating entitles the holder to a reserved seat. Book early for the best position. The Organiser will try to seat tickets under the same booking name together, but cannot guarantee that supplementary purchases can be seated at the same table.
On Thursday and Friday, standard reserved seats are held for 1.5 hours after opening and VIP seats for 2.5 hours. On Saturday, standard seats are held until 17:00 and VIP seats until 18:00. After that, the seat may be offered to another guest. Late arrival does not entitle the guest to a refund. Admission is always subject to ticket validity, security checks and requirements imposed by the authorities.
6. Admission, identification and removal
Guests must be able to present a valid ticket and, when reasonably requested by the Organiser, valid physical identification. Alcohol is not served to anyone under the age of 18 or to anyone who is visibly intoxicated.
The Organiser and authorised security staff may refuse admission to or remove anyone who is visibly intoxicated, threatening, violent or disruptive, poses a safety risk, attempts to use an invalid ticket, or fails to comply with these terms, the law, official decisions or reasonable staff instructions. No refund will be issued when refusal or removal results from the guest’s own conduct.
7. Bags, cloakroom and valuables
Bags may be brought into the tent, but all bags are inspected at the security checkpoint at the entrance. Use of the cloakroom is optional and costs DKK 30 per item. If the price has changed since these terms were published, the current price clearly displayed at the venue will apply.
Do not leave cash, jewellery, electronics, keys, medicines or other valuables in checked items. Storage is at the guest’s own risk. However, the Organiser is responsible for loss or damage caused by the Organiser’s negligence or where otherwise required by mandatory law. Where possible, loss or damage must be reported to the cloakroom before the guest leaves the venue.
8. Conduct and safety rules
- Outside food and drink may not be brought into the venue. Exceptions may be made for documented medical needs; contact the Organiser in advance.
- Weapons, narcotics, pyrotechnics and other dangerous or illegal items are prohibited.
- Animals are not permitted. Assistance dogs will be considered after contacting the Organiser, taking safety and applicable law into account.
- Clothing, vests, back patches, symbols or messages that, following a specific safety assessment, may be perceived as threatening, discriminatory or disruptive may be refused.
- Smoking and e-cigarettes are only permitted in designated areas.
- Standing, walking or dancing on tables is prohibited. Standing or dancing on benches is at the guest’s own risk and is only permitted when consistent with staff instructions and safety requirements.
- Glassware may not be taken out of the tent or into areas where staff prohibit glass. Souvenir glasses may be purchased in the souvenir shop but must be handled in accordance with staff instructions.
9. Alcohol and responsible participation
Drink responsibly and never more than you can handle. The Organiser complies with the applicable Danish alcohol legislation and may refuse or discontinue the serving of alcohol. Guests are responsible for their own decisions and conduct. Participation involves the normal risks associated with large crowds, high noise levels, dancing and the serving of alcohol. Hearing protection is recommended when needed.
10. Programme and operational changes
Advertised performers, programme elements, menus, suppliers, table or section allocations, access routes and opening hours may be adjusted for artistic, operational, safety or regulatory reasons. The Organiser may make reasonable changes that do not materially diminish the contracted principal service as a whole. A change to one performer, programme element, menu, allocation or a minor time change does not entitle the holder to rebooking or a refund.
For a material change, any price reduction, rebooking or refund is determined under mandatory Danish law and by the change’s actual effect on the principal service. The Organiser may first offer a reasonable alternative service or remedy.
11. Rescheduled, interrupted or cancelled event
The Organiser determines from the actual circumstances whether the event can proceed, must be rescheduled or must be cancelled. If it is rescheduled or cancelled, the Organiser may choose first to offer a free transfer to the new date or to the equivalent event next year. The Organiser determines the practical transfer process and closest equivalent ticket category. A transfer requires the ticket holder’s acceptance and does not restrict rights under mandatory Danish law.
If the entire event is cancelled before it starts, the purchaser is entitled to choose repayment of the price paid to the Organiser for the undelivered ticket or package instead of a transfer. The same applies in principle to a material rescheduling where the purchaser cannot attend the new date. A separately disclosed booking fee paid to an independent ticket agent for an agency service already supplied is repaid only where the agent’s agreement or mandatory law so requires.
If the event has started and is then interrupted, shortened or only partly performed, a full refund is not automatic. Any price reduction or refund is limited to the value of the material part of the contracted service not supplied, after accounting for services, food, drink, vouchers or other elements already supplied or used, to the extent permitted by Danish law.
Extreme weather, storm, fire, epidemic, terrorist threat, regulatory action, strike, power failure, supply failure and other circumstances outside the Organiser’s reasonable control do not necessarily remove the duty to repay the ticket price where the principal service is not supplied at all, but may exclude compensation for additional loss. The Organiser therefore does not reimburse travel, parking, accommodation, off-site catering, lost earnings or other indirect loss unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
Refunds are administered collectively and made within a reasonable time to the original payment method where technically possible. The Organiser may require a booking number and other reasonable evidence and may cancel the ticket before payment.
12. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Danish law, the Organiser’s liability is limited to documented, direct and foreseeable loss caused by a matter for which the Organiser is legally responsible. The Organiser is not responsible for loss or damage caused by a guest’s breach of these terms, the guest’s conduct or negligence, another guest, an unrelated third party or circumstances outside the Organiser’s reasonable control.
The Organiser is not liable for indirect loss, business interruption, loss of profit, lost reservations or consequential damage unless that liability cannot legally be restricted. Nothing in these terms restricts liability for personal injury caused by the Organiser intentionally or negligently, or any other right that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Photography and filming
Wide shots and footage may be taken at the event for documentation, news reporting and marketing. Consent will be obtained where required, particularly for clearly identifiable close-ups. Tell the photographer or contact the Organiser if you do not wish to appear in a close-up. Read more about the processing of personal data in the privacy policy.
14. Complaints and disputes
A defect must be reported to staff as soon as it is discovered during the event, allowing the Organiser a reasonable opportunity to remedy it. After the event, submit the complaint without undue delay by emailing info@copenhagen-oktoberfest.dk with the booking number, contact details, a precise description and relevant evidence. Failure to complain affects the guest’s rights only to the extent provided by Danish law.
If a consumer dispute cannot be resolved directly, it may be referred through the Danish House of Committees (Nævnenes Hus) to the competent consumer complaints body or to the courts under mandatory venue rules.
15. Governing law, changes and invalid provisions
Danish law applies to the agreement. Consumers always retain the protection of mandatory law. The version available when the purchase was made applies to the ticket agreement; the Organiser may update the terms for future purchases. If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions are unaffected.
